We are proudly owned by a 4 year old scarlet macaw, who does not enjoy car rides for starters! I took Miss Mokey to a bird store to get groomed her first time. The groomer grabbed my bird by the neck, and while she assured me it didn't hurt her, it certainly hurt her feelings. Afterward, she seemed timid, withdrawn..not her boisterous self. I decided that next time I needed to look for another option. Driving home from work, in the car in front of me was Jodi's number...Mobile Bird Grooming. Perfect! I called her, shared my concerns, she listened to what I had to say...and was willing to drive to us! Jodi came in, and handled my bird gently. She was done in no time flat, but did a thorough job. I love that she is accommodating and punctual, but most of all I appreciate the rapport she is building with Mokey. I highly recommend Jodi, and will continue to trust her with my very precious friend.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JODI. SHE CAME TO MY HOUSE ON SATURDAY TO GET MY BIRDS GROOMED AND CLEANED UP. SHE WAS REALLY GENTLE AND MY BIRDS WERE NOT LOUD OR SCREAMING. AT FIRST I THOUGHT MY BIRDS WOULD BE REALLY UPSET AND WOULD BE SCREAMING THE WHOLE TIME BUT ... NOT AT ALL! SHE WAS GREAT WITH THEM. SHE ALSO GAVE ME SOME TIPS ON MY BIRDS.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND JODI TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BIRDS GROOMING NEEDS. SHE ALSO WAS NOT AT ALL EXPENSIVE AS I HAD IMAGINED. HER PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE.

Okay she was so quick I don't remember her using the dremel.lol...My bird didn't utter a peep and didn't fight back or try to bite her. He was relaxed and calm thru the whole thing. She did something to his beak I hadn't seen, she used a nail (black rough) file and smoothed out the outside of his beak and then applied vaseline. She threw the perfectly good brand new file away after she was done. She also didn't trim the wings too short like it has been done in the past. Overall I was very pleased. I have had him done at All Creatures and Tropic Zone. This was the best, fastest, stress-free and efficient grooming I have seen. She brings a bag with her with all the supplies. She is a calm person and didn't let my somewhat crazy cockatoo scare her at all. Infact he made a liar out of me because he was very well behaved thru the whole thing. This is the reason I thought I would post...my last grooming done at one of the above places didn't go so well, and I am soo glad I stumbled upon her in the pets section of Craigslist.

Jan, I also used her she is really good. I have also used Jessica; it's just really a far drive for Jessica with me being the only one out this way. Jodi was not only very gentle with my birds, it didn't seem to upset them as much as I thought it would since they didn't know her & they knew Jessica from when we lived at Bob & Bryan's. Jessica had been the only one I had ever let do my birds till Jodi. I will also use Jodi again when they need their wings and nails done. I love the way Jessica always did my birds when living at Bob & Bryan's so I was a bit nervous when Jodi first came over & did Sugar. But they seemed fine with her & it was over before we knew it. She's really good. Good luck & also from my understanding, she will give a discount for referrals (not sure about that but someone said she did). Hope hearing from more that one person will help you feel a little less nervous.....

Before I head out to do a few pet sits, I just wanted to let you know that I had Jodi, the bird groomer, over to our home today. She did our two greys and one Amazon. We are totally impressed with her grooming skills, pleasant personality, and knowledge of birds, that we will be using her in the future.
It sure is nice to know there is someone we can call and trust, instead of having to take the birds out, which always bothers me as far as the chance of taking off, and picking up something in a place where hundreds of birds go through weekly.
Just thought I would pass on the good news.

I highly recommend Jodi "thebirdlady" (480) 208-7802, with regards to Bird Grooming; she is absolutely wonderful with our birds and very knowledgeable! Her rates are extremely fair and she takes her time with the birds and explains to you want she's doing. I am posting my reference because I would like to see her do well with her business and hopefully help alleviate any concerns a bird owner may have as to her integrity and expertise.
